The first hit is to put your attention to a little but needed utility with the name Image Converter
Image Coverter is a utility that, after that it is installed, a program with huge possibility's to covert pictures.
As you can see in the settingsscreen the most common formats are available to convert like for instance GIF; JPEG; BMP; TGA and TIF
Next there are lot's of possibility's to set the number of bits pro pixel and is there a possibility to set the quality of a JPEG from 0 to 100 % You can also set all the sizes you like and make a choice if you want to block a size or if you want to keep the size equal in width and height.
You can also preset the map where you want the converted pictures to be saved or even if you like to see a preview in the Windows Explorer.
A specialy the last possibility makes the utility so interesting for graphic workers. Who doesn't know all those pretty Thumbnailprogram's taking a lot time to generate some small previews of you picture index. There making gigantic files wich need a lot of time to load and than to find the picture you are looking for.
The goal of those program's is good but what's more thrilling to stand on a picture, click on the right mouse-button and see a thumbnail of the picture you are standing on in your Explorer and convert it to whatever you want?
There are also other possibility's wich can be very usefull.
What do you think about making a copy to your clipboard? Setting your picture as wallpaper for your desktop? Making your pictures fitting on your desktopscreen?
